As carbon content increases, so does the strength, though an excessive amount could risk quenching tendencies and reduce toughness.
Manganese content: Contained within 0.29-1.06%, manganese serves to refine grain size, bolster ferrite, and significantly enhance both tensile and compressive strength.
Silicon content: Stabilized around 0.10%, silicon plays a crucial role in deoxidation and purification, ensuring the molten steel's purity and quality.
Tensile strength and yield strength: Grade A boasts a minimum tensile strength of 330MPa and a yield strength of at least 207MPa. In contrast, Grade B has strengths of 415MPa and 240MPa, respectively, while Grade C tops the chart with 485MPa and 275MPa.
Elongation rate: Achieving an elongation rate exceeding 30% is essential for these steel pipes. This ensures they can absorb impact energy by deforming, thus preventing brittle fractures and enhancing durability.
