Introduction to DOM tube
DOM tubing originates from electric resistance welded (ERW) tubes, known as "mother tubes," which are expertly reshaped into their final form through an advanced cold drawing process.
Prior to the drawing stage, mother tubes are subjected to a phosphate bath. This crucial step removes scale and adds lubricity, thereby ensuring the durability of the dies throughout the drawing process.
DOM tubing is typically manufactured to meet the stringent ASTM A513 Type 5 standards, with compatibility to European standards such as 10305-2.
