Carbon Content: Grade A features a ceiling of 0.25%, with Grade B ranging between 0.18-0.25%, and Grade C from 0.25-0.35%. As the carbon content rises, so does strength, but beware-too much could heighten quenching tendencies and reduce toughness.
Manganese Content: Ranging from approximately 0.29-1.06%, manganese plays a crucial role in refining grain size, strengthening ferrite, and bolstering tensile and compressive strength.
Silicon Content: Kept at a stable 0.10%, this element is vital for the deoxidation and purification of molten steel, ensuring the highest quality.
Tensile and Yield Strength: Grade A boasts a tensile strength of at least 330MPa with a yield strength no less than 207MPa. For Grade B, these values are 415MPa and 240MPa, respectively, while Grade C achieves 485MPa and 275MPa.
Elongation Rate: Generally exceeding 30%, ensuring that the steel pipe efficiently absorbs energy via deformation upon impact, thus preventing brittle fractures.
